Thoughts at Three on a Sunday Morning.

Toto's birthday was Thursday, so he had a celebration at our house tonight.  It was nice; a few of our friends stopped by.  We had some drinks and some food and general merriment.

It's been another kind of odd week.  Guac decided that he really misses me.  And even made an effort to show up at Toto's party tonight.  He's also been texting me consistently again.  It's weird because I think I just don't know what to expect from him, nor do I understand what he really wants from me.  I think it's just friendship, but then he says something that throws me for a loop.

I finally got my butt in gear scholastically.  I've been reading It, but I took some time off reading this week to get translations written into my music and do some other things.  I have less than 400 pages left.  Still an excellent feeling.  I expected to be finished with it by now, so that's disappointing.  But I'll be done soon enough.

I had to cancel my wax appointment for tomorrow.  Maybe I'll try to schedule another one soon.  It's definitely waxing time.

  1. It seems like this waxing stuff can get expensive. You're always going!

Screw Guac. He's just more drama.

    1. I wrote a response to this comment this morning and then my internet crashed, as it seems to do often, right as I tried to publish it. :( I was so mad that I couldn't even attempt re-writing it. I just got a doughnut instead.

I have to get a wax done once every 4-6 weeks. It seems like a lot, but I don't have to worry about razor burn or ingrown hairs, and the hair doesn't itch when it grows back in. Plus, it's fine and thin. So to me it's worth it. But I completely understand why someone would decide it wasn't.

As for Guac, screwing him is exactly what I'm trying not to do. (Sorry. I couldn't resist!) However, it's really important to me that I have decent working relationships with the people in my department, especially those that I will have to perform with. I have a couple scenes I was cast opposite Guac that I have to perform this week and I'm sure it won't be the last time in the next year and a half that I have to work that closely with him. Plus, something makes me feel like he needs me as a friend right now. So I'm going back to being nice to him instead of ignoring him. I'm just trying to be very clear that I don't want to be friends with benefits. That is so not my thing.
